Sky News Arabia is an Arabic-language 24-hour news channel headquartered in Abu Dhabi, launched on 6 May 2012 as a joint venture originally between Sky/BSkyB (then Comcast-owned) and International Media Investments (IMI), the Abu Dhabi government-linked media group. In January 2025 the channel moved into new headquarters and broadcast studios inside the IMI building on Yas Island, publicised as equipped with AI-enabled production and storytelling technology. In May 2026, Sky withdrew from the venture following criticism of the channel's coverage of the Sudan conflict, leaving IMI as sole owner while Sky retains a brand-licensing arrangement.

Comcast's Sky Group withdrew from the Sky News Arabia joint venture on 31 May 2026, ending a partnership that began at the channel's 2012 launch (originally 50% Sky Group / 50% International Media Investments). The exit followed 'genocide denial' accusations tied to the channel's coverage of the Sudan/RSF conflict (including the El Fasher siege), with Sky reportedly first signalling it was considering the move in March 2026. IMI, the Abu Dhabi government-linked media investment entity, now wholly owns Sky News Arabia.
