Overview

International Media Investments (IMI) is an Abu Dhabi-based media investment company, a subsidiary of Abu Dhabi Media Investment Corporation (a private investment vehicle associated with Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan). IMI acquired The National — the UAE's leading English-language newspaper, originally launched by Abu Dhabi Media in 2008 — from Abu Dhabi Media in November 2016, and relaunched it in 2017 under new Abu Dhabi headquarters. IMI is also part-owner (and, per Wikipedia, became sole owner in 2026 after Sky Group's exit) of pan-Arab news channel Sky News Arabia, a joint venture originally formed with UK-based Sky in 2012.
