Al Zarraf Solar PV IPP (1.5 GW) Joint Development Agreement
EDF Power Solutions and Korea Western Power Co. (KOWEPO) signed a Joint Development Agreement with EWEC for the 1.5 GW Al Zarraf Solar PV Independent Power Producer project in Al Dhafra, Abu Dhabi — EWEC's fifth utility-scale solar project, expected to power ~160,000 homes and cut ~2.4 million tonnes of CO2 annually.

Abu Dhabi Waste-to-Energy Plant Concession Award
EWEC and Tadweer Group awarded a concession agreement for Abu Dhabi's first, and one of the world's largest, waste-to-energy facilities to a consortium including Marubeni, ALEC Engineering & Contracting, Butec and Hitachi Zosen Inova; EWEC will procure the electricity produced over a 30-year term.

Taweelah C IPP (2.6 GW CCGT) Partner Award
EWEC announced the award of the Taweelah C Independent Power Producer project, a 2.6 GW Combined Cycle Gas Turbine plant using Siemens Energy H-class turbines and designed to enable future carbon capture, to a consortium of TAQA, Sembcorp Industries and Aljomaih Energy and Water Company; EWEC will procure electricity under a PPA through 2050, with commercial operation expected in 2029.

EWEC signed a Collaboration Framework Agreement with Masdar to jointly accelerate development of more than 30 GW of solar PV and over 8 GW of battery energy storage capacity across the UAE, supporting Abu Dhabi's Clean Energy Strategy 2035 and UAE Net Zero 2050.
